Store in a cool dry place away from direct heat, and once in a while you may refrigerate (not freeze) it to maintain the fluffy buttery consistency. Since this is pure oil, consistency changes during hot summers and cold winters. When it solidifies during cold winters warm each oil scoop in your palms as directed in our educational videos, to restore its softness with every use. You may also mix each scoop with a few drops of our Body Oil to restore its buttery consistency.

 

One of the wonderful properties of shea butter and coconut oil is that even though these may harden in low temperatures, they easily melt at body temperature.

To ensure maximum benefits when moisturising hair, start on clean damp hair. Scoop a pea size amount, rub it in the palm of your hands to warm it up and melt any shea butter (whitish) residues that may have formed due to rapid changes in temperature. Proceed to apply onto each section of damp or wet hair. This helps moisturise your hair strands, while sealing the moisture at the same time.

 

You can also add this gem to your hair-steam regimen! Now we know you might get KiAsili-happy and smear extra oil onto your damp strands, beware; too much oil causes buildup, which weighs down your strands, clogs your hair pores and dries out your beautiful hair. Don’t get scared though, just remember: A little scoop goes a long way!

 

We also recommend that you wash, cleanse or clarify your hair regularly to get rid of build-up and have a clean slate to work on. Start with twice per month and adjust according to your hair needs.

Always start on clean damp skin. Take a pea size amount and warm it in the palm of your hands (together with a few drops of our Body Oil) then proceed to tap firmly onto skin. You can also choose to massage it in circular motions, whichever works best for your skin. For maximum results, incorporate this in both your morning and night time routines.

For extra smooth product consistency, mix with our Body Oil in the palm of your hands then proceed to apply as needed.
